Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Bataleon Storm is a symmetrical nose to tail snowboard for switch riding and freestyle, but with a slightly set back foot position for easier riding and more versatility in snow conditions. The wood shell is light and tonic, with carbon reinforcements in the centre of the board and in the tips to boost pop and rebound. The result is a medium flex that's comfortable to ride but energetic, allowing you to ollie pop and relaunch in the middle of a carved turn. The ride is playful, with easy entry into turns thanks to the recessed position of the inserts, while the concave shape of the tips (3BT and Sidekick technologies) offers a certain amount of forgiveness when making edge errors. Finally, the Storm also excels off-piste, where it offers a good lift and remains easy to handle.

What are the main qualities of the Bataleon Storm snowboard?

Manoeuvrability

Power/playability balance

Versatility

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
