What is the Burton Deep Thinker snowboard made for?

With its pronounced front rocker and setback binding inserts, it ensures effortless float in powder. It also excels on hard snow, thanks to the excellent grip provided by its traditional camber. The setback inserts and directional flex increase back foot control, allowing for precise manoeuvres. Regarding its construction, its Super Fly II 700G core offers a perfect balance between strength and lightness. The Dual Zone EGD technology, combined with layers of fibreglass and carbon, ensures unwavering stability at high speeds. Ultimately, it's a high performance board designed for all snow conditions, even though it is primarily intended for powder.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
