The K2 Afterblack is an all-mountain freestyle snowboard, perfect for intermediate to advanced level snowboarders. It features a full twin-tip shape and a Camber + Rocker profile, along with Carbon Darkweb™, BAP Core, and Triax - ICG 20 technologies.

What is the K2 Afterblack snowboard made for?

The Afterblack is a true twin-tip board with a pronounced traditional camber and minimal rockers on the tips, ensuring optimal grip even on compact snow. This makes it perfect for carved turns on the slopes, as well as providing confidence on park jumps. Its flexibility allows for easy presses, while maintaining good stability and edge-to-edge responsiveness thanks to its cross-positioned carbon reinforcements under the bindings. Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
