The K2 Standard snowboard is designed for those who are beginning their snowboarding journey and wish to hone their skills with a versatile board that combines ease of use and safety.

What is the K2 Standard snowboard made for?

With a soft flex and flat camber, the K2 Standard offers maximum forgiveness and requires less effort, while ensuring good edge hold for enjoyable descents on groomed runs. The rocker zones at the tips facilitate transitions between turns and provide better float on soft snow and light powder. Thanks to the slightly set-back stance and directional shape, the board is manoeuvrable and easy to control. It is the perfect tool for learning, progressing at your own pace, and gaining confidence to try your first jumps and increase your speed. Who knows, once you master the basics, you might even venture in the terrain park for some freestyle!

Who is the K2 Standard snowboard aimed at?

The K2 Standard is perfect for beginner to intermediate snowboarders looking to improve their technique. Its easy-to-handle and forgiving design makes it an excellent choice for those who want to enhance their skills and explore new terrains with confidence.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
