Developed by Lib Tech, the Banana Blaster is a children’s snowboard inspired by the Skate Banana, retaining the same all-mountain freestyle program but with a construction and level of accessibility suited to kids. 

What is the programme of the Lib Tech Banana Blaster snowboard? 

It is designed with a lightweight wood core, reinforced by two layers of fiberglass, making it responsive. The camber uses the Original Banana design, a hybrid profile with rocker in the middle of the board and camber on the sides, offering lots of forgiveness and playfulness on any terrain. This is a perfect model to have fun in the entire resort and progress in freestyle, it offers a good balance between responsiveness and flexibility. In addition, with the Magne-Traction serrated edges, the grip feels very secure when edging on hardpack. Enough grip to hold the edge well, while avoiding to catch an edge when landing.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
