Description

The Mountain X Grif is a freeride/all-mountain oriented board from Nitro, designed to be accessible for intermediate riders yet punchy enough for an advanced rider. Its double rocker improves floatation and absorbs uneven terrain. The wood core is reinforced with a double layer of bi-directional fiberglass for a toned and balancedflex whose rebound allows you to pick up speed and enjoy carving. The directional shape and set-back position of the inserts also ensuregreat ease in deep snow with immediate flotation.

With the added bonus ofgood grip on hard snow, thanks to a classic camber, the Mountain X Grif offers plenty of versatility and proves to be a good compromise between performance and affordability. Enough to sand the resort without restriction, with plenty of room for improvement.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
