Snowboard Pow

The Nitro Pow is a dedicated powder board, designed for short backcountry turns, for slaloming through the snow between trees. The shape is short to increase manoeuvrability, it only comes in 154 and is designed to be ridden shorter than a normal board It is also wider, to recover the flotation lost in the length. But don't worry, it will still give you an automatic lift in powder, thanks to its directional shape with a good amount of volume and front rocker, its well setback foot position and its very marked swallow tail. It's quite responsive and stable but is really easy to ride thanks to the control offered by the recessed inserts. Accessible from the intermediate/advanced level, it will please snowboarders looking for a powder board for the nice days.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
