The Nitro Spirit Kids is a snowboard for kids, with a soft and robust construction, as well as a forgiving and versatile camber profile. All the ingredients are combined to learn at your pace and enjoy your days in the resort.

What is the program of the Nitro Spirit Kids snowboard?

The Spirit Kids features a classic tried-and-true construction, with a wood core reinforced by biaxial glass fibre. It offers a soft and easy flex, while being lightweight and robust. The flat camber offers secure grip, ideal for skidded turns as well as learning your first carved turns, without catching edges thanks to its forgiveness. The twin-tip shape, symmetrical from the nose to the tail and centred foot stance allow to ride both ways. You might as well learn switch from the start!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
