The Rome Ravine is a directional snowboard designed to maximise control and manoeuvrability on all types of snow. It features a wood core reinforced with fibreglass and carbon, making it lightweight and dynamic. Its camber + rocker profile ensures great efficiency on all snow types, and its Sintered Speed Base guarantees excellent glide.

What is the Rome Ravine snowboard made for?

The Ravine boasts a directional shape with a tapered nose and a stiffer flex at the rear, along with setback inserts. This results in natural float in powder and remarkable turning fluidity. Easy to manoeuvre, it allows for effortless turns and fatigue-free runs. The traditional camber offers good edge hold on hard snow, while the rockers at the tips enhance float and facilitate edge-to-edge transitions. It's a pleasant board to ride, allowing you to explore various terrains with joy.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
