Snowboard Royal

The Rome Royal is a freestyle snowboard, with its symmetrical shape allowing you to ride forward or backward and its soft flex offering plenty of playability for tricks. This flex is also welcome for easier turns and descents. A supple board is easier to grip, so you'll feel right at home linking turns, and even more so thanks to the tolerance of the flat camber and rockers. This provides a secure grip on the piste while reducing the risk of edge errors. It also glides well on soft snow, whether on the slopes, at the bottom of the resort or at the end of the season. Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
