The Salomon Huck Knife is a freestyle board designed for riders seeking versatility who want to express their creativity on every obstacle, whether it’s side hits or in the terrain park. Thanks to its perfectly symmetrical True Twin shape and balanced flex, it delivers a clever blend of pop and playfulness, allowing you to link tricks seamlessly both regular and switch.

What is the Salomon Huck Knife snowboard made for?

Designed for fun and performance, the Huck Knife features a robust traditional camber paired with subtle rockers. This gives it excellent edge hold on hardpack, while ensuring smoothness and float on softer snow. Although it excels on groomers, this jib and park model also has solid capabilities for exploring the backcountry.

Who is the Salomon Huck Knife snowboard aimed at?

The Huck Knife is aimed at snowboarders who already have solid skills, from intermediate to advanced level, looking for a lively freestyle board that still offers a bit of forgiveness.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
