Description

The Salomon Sight is a little better than a 100% beginner's model, but still retains accessibility and Comfort, making it suitable for a wide range of snowboarders.

What is the Salomon Sight snowboard program?

The Salomon Sight is a directional twin, i.e. a board that is symmetrical from nose to tail on which the position of the feet has been slightly setback providing maneuverability and versatility. With a progressive flex, easy to ride but offering reactivity, it is the ideal board for progressing in All-Mountain. Finally, the classic camber section provides effective grip on the trail, but the board remains easy from edge to edge thanks to the rockers with spatulas, which also makes it easier to ride in fresh and processed snow. So, you can have fun on any type of snow and progress whatever your program, whether it's piste, freestyle or All-Mountain.

Who is the Salomon Sight snowboard for?

While it is ideal for an intermediate snowboarder looking for a good performance/accessibility compromise, this model will also please a beginner snowboarder who is a bit sporty and is looking for a board for rapid progression.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
