Snowboard Rome Crossrocket

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Crossrocket is Rome’ secret weapon, it features a wide range of action and a powerful personality. Don’t overthink before charging the slope in front of you, with this directional blade on your feet, everything is possible and within reach. The board comes with a traditional camber from tip to tail and two rockers running through the tips. This is the winning combination for optimal edge grip on the hardpack and floatation on soft snow. Add to this a carbon-reinforced construction and you get an explosive pop to top it all of.

What can the Rome Crossrocket snowboard do?

The board belongs to the freestyle all-mountain category, it delivers the perfect control on groomers but can run off it whenever you want. Stable at high speed, the board is precise and responsive and calls for carving performance. The 2017 Crossrocket is also a fantastic powderhound and does not fear narrow powdery couloirs and cornices. The rockers make the board ultra floaty and maximise agility through the deep. Freestylers are going to destroy the backcountry with ease before ending the day in the park, grinding rails and stomping kickers as if it was easy.

Who is the Rome Crossrocket snowboard do?

We recommend this board to advanced freestyle-oriented riders looking for a versatile and effortless snowboard. In the end, the Crossrocket has everything you need if your mission is to have fun anywhere on the mountain.

Structure - Construction

  • 90/90 Carbon Hybrid Laminate  :

We take integrate thin bundles of carbon into a biaxial glass on top and biaxial layer on the bottom.

  • HotRods - Carbon Single Barrel  :

A single rod of carbon in the centerline, this pattern adds ollie pop while letting the rest of the board flex normally.

  • Superpop Core Matrix  :

Three zones of low-density wood keep the weight extra low, while long segments of poplar team keep the flex lively and smooth. This is the core that puts the “pop” in Flex With Pop for boards like the Agent Rocker, Agent, Lo-Fi Rocker, Lo-Fi and Blue.

  • essai  :

A 1-inch strip of Zylon down the centrerline for added response.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • ButterOut Transition Zones  :

Smooth as butta’; this drawn out transition zone is a playful take on Rome's classic design, creating a play-a-round freestyle board, guaranteed to fuel your snowboard addiction.

  • QuickRip Sidecut  :

Advanced sidecut geometry giving a short playful feel at slower speeds and a longer fast and stable feel at higher speeds. The Mid-Board contact points end the running length at slow speeds and add grip at high speeds.

  • Shape Almost Twin

Rocker - Camber

  • NoHang-Ups Pop 2.0  :

We've also redesigned our NoHang-ups Pop profile this year for a more refined combination of pop and float. The Diamond in this design is positive camber, and in the new configuration it ends 20mm from the contact point and features a narrower point. Outside the Diamond, we've increased out 3D Continuous Curvilinear Rocker in the nose and tail. The result is full power and pop from the positive camber Diamond, and round, surfy, floaty turns from the 3D Rocker. This is rocker with true pop.

Other

  • Sinter True Base  :

A combination of wax absorption and abrasion resistance results in gap-clearing speed with solid amounts of strength.
