Description

Not too demanding and really playful, the Amplid Stereo is a sheer pleasure to ride. It is an all-mountain freestyle snowboard featuring a medium flex that works well on variable terrains and a Hybrid-V camber which is basically a W-shaped profile that blends camber and rockers to offer the best mix of performance. It feels almost like the Stereo has an auto-steer feature and reads your mind to ride where you aim. Not that the True Twin shape is an extra bonus for freestylers.

What can the Amplid Stereo snowboard do?

It is one of the easiest and most user-friendly boards in Amplid’s lineup. Super efficient on piste, the Stereo delivers solid grip and lively energy transmissions to keep up with the beat. The carbon stringer gives the board extra boost and allows higher and more explosive ollies which makes it an excellent park board. Link your spins and tweak your grabs and become the new park rockstar. You will never get bored again in a snowpark. But in case it happens, note that you can easily hop off the piste and surf the pow. The board floats effortlessly and turns out to be a fantastic freerider!

Who is the Amplid Stereo snowboard designed for?

This all-terrain snowboard is ideally suited for intermediate and advanced riders looking for fun on all sides of the mountain. Versatile as heck, it’s an excellent pick if you want to progress your game on all grounds. Freestyle, freeride and anything in between.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
