Description

The Empire is a board that demands respect. Released last year, the board was such a success that Apo continued the series for 2015. Featuring a PP2 Dual core incorporating poplar and paulownia, this freeride-oriented rocket offers stability, reactivity and all-terrain performance. The basalt and carbon reinforced structure makes the board super responsive and provides it with tons of liveliness. The W-shaped camber offers floatatbility on pow and edge control on the hardpack just so you know you can rely on the board whereever you find yourself. This go-anywhere stick has you covered, all you gotta do is....chaaaaarge !

The Empire is stiff and powerful. It's got that plow-through-everything feel that makes you feel confident when you're riding fast and you're not too sure about the snow conditions ahead. Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
