Description

Apo is releasing 3 pro models under the name of Iconic. There's Eero Niemela, Spencer O'Brien and Sage Kotsenburg which we introduce here. This promodel actually led him on the podium at Sotchi's Olympics, so don't worry about the board's performance, worry about yours. Designed with a traditional camber ensuring pop and responsiveness, the board features a PB Blast core blending two kinds of wood and carbon stringers delivering more snap than you could possibly want. The Iconic delivers outstanding performance through the park. It's the kind of board that likes to go big on every feature. Just make sure you are too.

What our testers say : Watch out this isn't a board for sissies. Twin tipped with lots of camber, we have here a powerful freestyle gun loaded with pop. Stiff and responsive, the board handles speed with ease and hits kickers with an impressive stability. Any advanced or expert riders will love it. Don't expect the board to be forgiving or playful though. It is designed for high performance, not for goofing around.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
