Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Borealis Horizon is a revolutionary snowboard designed for all-mountain and freestyle terrain. This novelty comes in the form of a true twin without set-back, ideal for a multitude of activities, from ollies and butters to receptions and occasional powder outings.

What's in the Borealis Horizon snowboard program?

Equipped with blunt spatulas, the Horizon excels in aerial maneuvers, while its balanced sidecut radius, complemented by innovative Sidewaves, ensures exceptional grip without compromising carving speed. The Horizon's FS Hybrid Camber profile blends full, point-to-point positive camber with a moderate rocker zone in the center, facilitating powder rotations while retaining the benefits of traditional camber. In terms of construction, the Horizon incorporates the UL Forest Core made of poplar, paulownia and bamboo, reinforced with Carbon Power Beams and wrapped in triax fiberglass. This combination gives the board exceptional lightness, incredible pop, and enhanced responsiveness. The DS4001 sintered sole is remarkably durable, easy to wax and ensures fast glide. Finishes include a Vibragum matte topsheet to dampen vibrations, Liquid Sidewalls for extra shock absorption and Glass Impact Pads to protect the core around the bindings.

Who is the Borealis Horizon snowboard for?

This board is ideal for intermediate to advanced snowboarders who master different terrains and are looking to evolve towards excellence while having fun. Its advanced construction and dynamic profile make it the perfect choice for those aspiring to the next level.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
