Description

Maybe Borealis' most successful when it comes to deco, the Tundra sports a stylish topsheet in wood with a trendy nature design. On the construction side, the brand relies here on a mix of classic camber and rocker combined with a supple flex, and the end result is an ultra-versatile model that will hurt the competition.

What's in store for the Borealis Tundra snowboard?

With this board on your feet you have carte blanche to take advantage of every opportunity on the mountain. It hooks up serenely on piste and is as playful forward as it is on switch. Extremely comfortable to ride thanks to its supple core, it's not overly demanding, even if it does require a minimum of technique to tame. If you want to test your limits, you can even ride into it. We also like the Tundra for its ease of changing playground at the first opportunity. Park sessions don't scare it. It can handle jumps as if nothing had happened, and it's great for jibbing just about anywhere. Powdered? Well, this 2018 Tundra comes out pretty well. So no hesitation, with a snowboard this versatile you can't help but enjoy yourself non-stop all winter long!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
