Description

This is just a shorter Custom so dads and kids can have the same ride! With a geometry very similar to the Custom Twin Flying V, the Custom Smalls was designed to help kids progress on a snowboard while having fun. The Flying V profile is made of a rockered section between the inserts, of two cambered zones underneath the feet and two rockers in the tips. This combination provides stability, forgiveness and agility without compromising edge control or responsiveness, a perfect mix for learning isn't it? Top this up with a twin shape and a smooth Super Fly core and you get one of the most versatile junior boards available on the market.

What our testers say : The Custom Smalls is a great board that covers most of kids' needs and it has a long progression curve meaning you can easily keep it for a few seasons. The board's forgiving enough to turn learners into riders and it's reactive enough to let riders upgrade their game. The twin shape makes the board park-friendly while the rockers keep it afloat on powder. That means no matter what rider you are, there's a Custom Smalls waiting for you.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
