Description

-

The D1 5'5 ++ is the hard flex version of the D1 5'5, offered by Dupraz in 3 levels of stiffness (standard, medium + and hard ++). The D1 5'5 ++ offers more stiffness. This is a quite exclusive board, which requires an advanced or even expert level. You’ll find the very directional shape of the Dupraz D1, tapered from nose to tail with a long and wide front tip with pronounced rocker. This board shape offers great smoothness on powder and during turns. The ability to lift and manoeuvrability are enhanced by the setback foot stance. We're talking a lot about powder but the Dupraz D1 5'5 ++ performs very well on hard snow as well, thanks to the camber area and stiffness. It demonstrates excellent edge hold which is useful to descend steep faces with packed snow and to carve groomers. Finally, you’ll be surprise if you think this board is limited to long turns. It measures 165 cm but rides like a 154 cm and allows to link short turns. The extra 11 cm are here to offer even more floatability on pow.

What are the best features of the Dupraz D1 5’5 ++ snowboard?

Performance/accessibility balance

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
