The Howler is the new weapon from Jones for drawing lines in the pow, sending big carving on piste and slamming tricks on park modules. With its directional shape and classic camber, it offers precise control and plenty of pop, without sacrificing its ability to float in the pow. In short, the Howler is the board that doesn't choose between freeride and freestyle; it does it all, and does it well.

What's in the Jones Howler snowboard program?

The Jones Howler is cut with a classic camber that boosts grip and pop. Its directional shape, coupled with a 3D zone on the nose, offers fluid glide and quick turn initiation, especially at high speeds. The board is rigid underfoot, making it particularly responsive: every movement is transmitted instantaneously, resulting in a nervous, precise ride. Perfect for sending presses, slashing through popcorn or attacking the pipe, this is a board that responds as soon as the pace picks up.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
