The Ultracraft is the supercharged version of the popular Jones Hovercraft. You find the same exact directional shape with a generous nose, width and an ideal tail for powder, but with a more powerful construction based on an FSC Ultra Core reinforced by basalt stringers, linen fibres and fiberglass. The materials are sustainable, with bio sourced glue and wax to reduce even further the environmental impact, while retaining high performances, as you can tell by the 9900 Sintered base. 

What is the program of the Jones Ultracraft snowboard? 

Turns, power, speed. This is the motto of the Ultracraft. This snowboard offers unmatchable stability because of its construction, while the shape provides efficiency on any type of snow. We have to say it is physically demanding, yet you will benefit from the setback stance to place it into turns with more ease, while the 3D Base Contour 3.0 tips soften edge transfers. In the backcountry, the width and rocker at the nose provide excellent float, allowing to fully enjoy deep conditions. Whether it is to trace in the steep or slalom full speed in the trees, the Ultracraft likes riding off-piste!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
