Here is the result of the collaboration between K2 Snowboards, Tony Hawk and his skateboard company Birdhouse: an exclusive design for the Party Platter. Only the graphic changes, the construction remains unchanged. The board is still ultra-versatile and meant to be your daily driver. 

What is the program of the K2 Party Platter X Tony Hawk X Birdhouse snowboard? 

The K2 Party Platter is designed to be a quiver board, meaning an everyday board with which you will be able to carve groomers, slash and navigate powder off-piste. To do so, it benefits from a directional shape with a medium flex, as well as a camber profile that provides lots of forgiveness. With classic camber and rocker at the tips, it offers stability and grip while still being forgiving and easy to pivot and send tricks. It lifts easily in powder, is responsive on groomers, while being able to shred in the park. It is pleasant to ride thanks to a soft and even flex that dampens vibrations, while being punchy thanks to the Carbon Ollie Bar reinforcement strategically placed between the inserts. A great all-mountain board to mix things up at will!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
