Description

The Box Scratcher is the pro-model of the American snowboarder Jesse Burtner. It benefits from the Lib Tech's flagship technologies, namely the Magne-Traction corrugated edges that increase grip on hard snow and the Banana camber that offers lots of playability on all types of snow. Attention, on this board the colour of the topsheet (the upper part of the board) changes for Wide size models, with a mix of black, grey and white.

What is the program of the Lib Tech Box Scratcher snowboard?

With its twin-tip shape allowing you to ride in your usual direction as in switch, its medium-soft flex and its Original Banana camber, you can't hope for a more playful and freestyle-ready board than the Box Scratcher. Moreover, its name speaks for itself, the Box Scratcher is made to Slide on the boxes of the park! Work on your tricks, pop big ollies, take advantage of the flexibility of the spatulas to place well styled presses, in short, let your creativity speak for itself. Tired of the snowpark? Go and have fun in the rest of the resort and take advantage of your rider's eye to turn the slightest bump into a kicker!

Who is the Lib Tech Box Scratcher snowboard for?

We recommend this model to intermediate and advanced snowboarders or freestyle enthusiasts looking for a board that provides maximum playability in the snowpark without sacrificing comfort during descents in the rest of the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
