Description

Three models for almost the same board. The Team, the Magnum or the 38 Special aim for the same crowd of riders, the crowd that shreds the entire mountain and never takes a rest. The only difference between the boards comes from their widths. The Magnum is suited to large feet, the Team complies with standard boot sizes and the 38 Special stands in between. Also called mid wide (boot size between UK9.5 and 11), the board provides riders with a platform suited to their needs. Performance-wise, the 38 Special is a sporty all-mountain board featuring a poplar Powerlite Core offering reactivity and edge control. The board's width enhances stability and effortless performance though the roughest terrain. It's a bit like driving the bulldozer that only weighs a few kilogramms.

What our testers say : To make things simple, the board works well everywhere. Its medium flex, its construction and its shape all work together to deliver the best all-mountain performance. The board literally adjusts to the terrain, floaty and playful on powder, it turns into an agressive carving blade on the harpack with a responsive feel from turn to turn. A safe pick for riders who can't decide what they want. With the 38 Special, you got everything at once.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
