Description

The Magnum's got nothing to do with Tom Selleck or any other TV show involving a moustached private detective. No, the Magnum has a name suited to its size. It is a wide board allowing riders with large feet to enjoy snowboarding without the dreadful toe drag they've all experienced with standard board width. In terms of performance, the Magnum is a sporty all-mountain board featuring a poplar Powerlite Core offering reactivity and edge control. The board's width enhances stability and effortless performance though the roughest terrain. It's a bit like driving the bulldozer that only weighs a few kilogramms.

What our testers say : The Magnum works pretty much like the Team although its larger base enhances powder performance and turns it into a more freeride-oriented board than the Team. The board is responsive and performs very well on all terrains, but being a little bigger than most boards makes it a little more demanding as well. Advanced riders should enjoy riding this beast.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
