Description

The Nitro Magnum features a directional shape and a wide width, i.e. wider than the norm. This feature is designed to satisfy snowboarders with big feet, whose boots can touch the snow during carving sessions with a medium-sized board. The directional shape is designed for freeride or all-mountain, offering great maneuverability and precision on a variety of terrain. It's worth noting that it's part of Nitro's Carver Crue series, which includes high-performance boards for carving.

What's in it for the Nitro Magnum snowboard?

The Magnum is equipped with a wood core that offers solid flex without being too stiff. It offers excellent performance in terms of responsiveness and stability, while remaining comfortable to ride, thanks in part to the ease of curve entry offered by the rear foot position. It is polyvalent and navigates equally well on a well-groomed piste or a powder-filled off-piste. She moves effortlessly from carved turns to slashes between fir trees, allowing you to enjoy everything the resort has to offer in terms of conditions and terrain.

Who is the Nitro Magnum snowboard for?

We recommend this model to snowboarders with big feet (44 and up) and an advanced level. In terms of style, it will suit those who are carving and all-mountain/freeride enthusiasts.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
