Description

The Prime is one of Nitro's most notorious board (along with the Team) as it always comes with a great value for money, nice aesthetics and consistent performance. In other words, it's a board that will convince many that snowboarding is the best sport ever. Featuring a Powercore, a Zero camber and a directional shape, the board was designed to be easily manoeuverable and to help riders to progress on all grounds. Indeed, While the flat camber provides stability and forgiveness, the soft flex and the directional shape allow smooth turns and gentle energy transmissions. There's no better way to build up confidence than riding the Prime.

 

What our testers say : This is Nitro's entry level board, a partner of choice for any beginner who wants to purchase his first setup. Not demanding at all, the board is perfectly suited for learning. It turns intuitively, it's stable and forgives quite many mistakes common to beginners. Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
