Description

The Team Gullwing returns in two versions for 2015. One was jointly designed by Nitro and the artists crew names Sullen while the other one (this one here) comes with simpler, soberer graphics. The inside, the soul of the board, remains the same. The Team comes with a poplar core ensuring optimal pop and reactivity. The board features the notorious Gullwing camber (cambered under the feet and reverse in between) enhancing agility with an easier pivot without compromising edge control and precision. That brings versatility to a new level with an outstanding floatability and an excellent alpine character.

What our testers say : Riders with an intermediate level are going to like that board. It's an easy and forgiving all-mountain tool suited to ride any kinds of terrain from peak to park. It floats pow with ease and hit kickers with a reassuring stability making the whole experience really fun. The board's also capable of charging hard if needed. Despite the reverse cambered midsection it holds well on the hardpack and feels powerful at high speeds. Nice one!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
