Description

The Baretta is a directional board that was first released in 2013, a board intended for women freeriders. It was probably one of the first time a snowboard manufacturer released a board for athletic women with feet bigger than a size 5 or 6. Finally a board you can use without the dreadful toe drag we all hate. The Baretta incorporates most of Ride's technologies such as their Hybrid All-Mountain profile allowing the board to ride anything the mountain has to offer. It also features a carbon reinforced woodcore enhancing torsional stiffness and reactivity so you know that whatever comes across, you've got the right weapon to fight with.

What our testers say : Excellent pick for advanced women riders looking for a versatile freeride-oriented board suitable for their hard charging needs. The Baretta blends power and fluidity perfectly, offering a comfortable glide with lots of character. The board absorbs vibrations very well so you get a smooth feel even on crud, but it's also super responsive and delivers a strong rebond.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
