Description

The Machete GT is an iconic snowboard that needs no more introduction. It is a poppy and powerful shred blade designed to cut the mountain into pieces.

What can the Ride MACHETE GT snowboard do?

The Machete GT is the definition of the FS all-mountain board. If you’re after freestyle performance all over the mountain, it is what you need. Lay your tricks with style, tweak your grabs and grind as many rails as possible with the Machete GT. Featuring a stiff and responsive carbon-reinforced construction, the board feels stable like a rock no matter how fast it rides. The traditional camber enhances this stable feel and delivers optimal precision through power transmissions which, in other words, makes the board perfect for charging the park and the groomers. If it’s powder you want, there is nothing to worry about. You can rely on the board rockers to keep you afloat and to help you manoeuver effortlessly.

Who is the Ride MACHETE GT snowboard designed for?

This is a great board for advanced and expert riders who want versatility pushed to the max. The Machete GT is an aggressive and powerful board that demands skills and respect. Make sure you got both if you want to tame it.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
