Description

If versatility and performance had to have a child, they would give birth to the Machete. Featuring a versatile Low-Rise Rocker profile combining traditional underfoot camber and rockered tips, the board delivers the best of both worlds. It's a love at first ride, if floats pow with ease, delivers effortless initiations and flawless transiftions, it rolls into carved turns and keeps you locked in easily, it pops ollies like a skateboard does and it delivers a stable feel on rouch terrains. What else can you ask for? The board's built with a carbon reinforced woodcore maximising its performance all over the mountain.

What our testers say : The Machete is one Ride's flagship, many riders have heard the name and those who have been lucky enough to try it have generally bought one for themselves. The 2015 version (compared to the previous ones) offers a similar ride and feel to intermediates and advanced riders looking for a fun versatile one board quiver that can take them from park to pow with steez. Whether you ride switch through the park or bomb down the fall line, the Machete is a safe bet.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
