Description

Look at the beauty. The Machete is featured one more year in Ride’s catalogue but that’s not a surprise. The board has been around for years, pleasing riders and spreading love. If you are looking for the ultimate freestyle-all-mountain snowboard, this is the one.

What can the Ride MACHETE snowboard do?

The Machete is a fearless snowboard ready to assault any terrain with style. This freestyle-oriented deck is going to help you dial any trick in your bag and send it out on the mountain. The twin shape coupled with a nose and tail rocker and a flat camber in between delivers the stability, the float and the fun every park rider loves. The mellow flex combined to a carbon reinforced construction makes the board poppy, responsive and forgiving at the same time. The rising contact points allow catchfree pivots on groomers and deliver added manoeuverability on pow. If you were looking for the magic stick that could turn the entire mountain into a giant terrain park, the Machete is the end of your quest.

Who is the Ride MACHETE snowboard designed for?

It is for the advanced or expert rider who want a freestyle board that can perform on all terrains. The Machete is fun to play with and yet delivers performance. From the park to the backcountry, the mountain is yours.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
