Description

The Ride Twinpig is a rather specific snowboard as it is one of the few asymmetric models available on the market. The asymmetry takes place between the front and back edges with the aim of compensating for the natural power deficit of frontside turns. This gives us more control and efficiency on snow, without disturbing the riding sensation. Overall, the Twinpig is very manoeuvrable and versatile, with a shape designed to be chosen a few centimetres shorter than your usual board size. Be careful, respect the direction of the board to get the right front and back edges.

What is the program of the Ride Twinpig snowboard?

With its twin-tip shape and its well-balanced flex between reactivity and playability, the Twinpig is really freestyle oriented. It offers maximum possibilities; it has the ideal flex for having fun on the modules in jib and rides perfectly in switch. The camber and rocker profile combined with the asymmetrical edges offer maximum fluidity and control when riding downhill. It’s great for linking turns, especially since the flex offers bounce without being too physically demanding. Thanks to the rockers, you can also go out on the edges of the slopes to have fun with the relief or with the small powder. This is a versatile, responsive and playful board that you will really enjoy and progress with.

Who is the Ride Twinpig snowboard for?

Accessible from the intermediate level, the Twinpig will please the freestyle snowboarder who is looking for a board with which they will be able to perform a maximum number of tricks throughout the resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
