Description

Lightweight and sturdy thanks to a paulownia shell offering a flexible flex, equipped with a Contact Rocker profile that offers a safe edge/snow contact, and equipped with the new Twin Diamond 3D technology that reduces the risk of edge errors, the Rome Minishred combines all the ingredients that make learning easier and reassures parents!

What is the Rome Minishred snowboard programme?

The mini-riders will have a blast with the Minishred! Equipped with a soft flex and an inverted camber that makes it a good choice for beginners and small riders. The Minishred is really easy to handle and tolerant at will. You don't get tired riding it and you quickly increase confidence to succeed in turns. Edge errors are forgiven, thanks to the inverted camber on the one hand, which makes it easier to pivot, but also thanks to the special "three-dimensional" shape of the spatulas (Twin Diamond 3D technology), which eliminates unnecessary grip zones to provide more tolerance. In addition, these technical choices also make it easier to glide over soft snow and spring soup. No less bad when you are at the bottom of the slopes and on the green slopes, which are often less well maintained than the top of the resort.

Who is the Rome Minishred snowboard for?

We usually recommend this model for children aged around 6 to 12 years old and from the beginner to the intermediate level. It allows them to have fun and progress at their own pace!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
