Description

Roxy boards are rockin' for 2015. The brand knows what women like and they've designed some real good looking boards that'll make your days more colorful.

The Sugar Banana, which isn't new to Roxy lineup, comes in two similar versions for 2015, the Fox and the Watercolor. If the board has been slightly redesigned with a new twin-tip shape, it keeps the Banana technology. A profile blending a reverse camber between the feet that goes flat through the nose and tail. The idea is to get a smooth and forgiving board that delivers an effortless versatility for an all-terrain progression.

What our testers say : The Sugar Banana is the ideal board for intermediate women riders looking for something easy and playful. The profile of the board makes it intuitive and catchfree on groomers and offers floatation on softer snow. It's also a good park board and could be a great partner for beginning freestylers with ambitions.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
