Description

Don't be fooled, despite its name, the Salomon Assassin only wants to do you good! This board is a directional twin, which means that it is symmetrical from nose to tail but the position of the feet is slightly set back. This allows you to have both the switch playability of a freestyle snowboard and the manoeuvrability and versatility of a freeride snowboard.

What is the program of the Salomon Assassin snowboard?

With the Assassin, you'll be able to ride all over the resort and freestyle. Its wood core encased in two layers of biaxial fiberglass offers a well-balanced flex between performance and playability, while the Poster Eco Booster bamboo and carbon reinforcements add pop and rebound. It's an easy-to-grip board with enough flex to easily place tricks, but offers solid pop in ollie and a pleasant bounce in carving. The camber + rocker profile is very versatile, offering grip and responsiveness on piste while being comfortable to ride and efficient in soft snow and powder. The Assassin works on all terrains, especially with the setback foot position that offers automatic lift and playful turn entry.

Who is the Salomon Assassin snowboard for?

We recommend it to the intermediate level snowboarders looking to vary the pleasures between all-mountain and freestyle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
