Description

Since the beginning Salomon Snowboards wanted to make from their Liberty an iconic women-specific board offering forgiveness and easiness. The missions is a success. This board is flexible to forgive small mistakes happening through the learning process and feels nice and progressive to help you bump up your skills. The directional shape and flat camber make the board easy to move around and deliver the smoothest turn initiations. The Salomon Liberty doesn't turn by itself yet but requires very little efforts to do so. Note that the board offers only one position for your bindings (4x4 inserts). This is only to make your life and your settings simpler!

What can the Salomon Liberty snowboard do?

It is a typical all-round board, ultra versatile and very well suited for early progression. Physically easy to manoeuver, the Liberty allows riders to build up confidence and technique on the slopes. Do not expect olympic performance from it but expect softness, flexibility and fun. The board feels stable and more importantly it feels predictable. It is a fantastic partner for learning the basics and lay the first turns without fearing catching an edge. You can even go for occasional off piste forays and enjoy a nice floatability on fresh powder.

Who is the Salomon Liberty snowboard designed for?

We recommend this board to women riders looking for an easy and forgiving deck to progress effortlessly. With a versatile board like the Liberty, you know you're going to have fun next winter.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
