Description

The Salomon Lotus is a board that is as much fun as you could wish for. You will quickly realize that you can go everywhere with it, which will allow you to progress thoroughly on all levels.

What is the Salomon Lotus snowboard program?

The Lotus has a so-called "twin directional" shape, which consists of a symmetrical board from nose to tail on which the position of the feet has been set back slightly enabling maneuverability and versatility. In addition, with the soft flex and flat camber, we have a board that is easy to handle, with little pressure on the legs, a secure grip and a certain margin for error regarding edge faults. But with the added benefit of a setback foot position, control is provided and getting into curves are easy, allowing you to quickly link turns and descents! Very versatile, it can be used in the small powder on the edges of the slope and is very playful when it comes to trying out the modules in the snowpark. Perfect for fun and progression throughout the resort!

Who is the Salomon Lotus snowboard intended for?

We recommend this model to beginner snowboarders looking for maximum tolerance for discovering snowboarding without fear, it will also please more resourceful snowboarders looking for playability and comfort for fun and pleasure while freestyling.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
