Description

This is a board for real men. Don’t get us wrong, we’re not saying you’re a sissy, but the Man’s Board is not just a board, it is The board designed to fulfill your highest expectations on the snow. If you want to rule the mountain, the Man’s Board has to belong to your quiver.

What can the Salomon MAN’S BOARD snowboard do?

The board is an aggressive ride, it is powerful, stiff and it delivers performance. This means it is not for the faint-hearted rider who cruises at low to moderate speed down groomers. Nope, this one is for hard-chargers who like to bomb downhill as fast as they can. The Man’s Board ranks in the freeride / all-mountain category, it busts through the crud, floats on pow and plows through the rest of the mountain with a ridiculous ease. And if you really had to get back onto groomers you’ll see that the board is an actual 5-star carver. Featuring a Cross-Profile for optimal versatility and a Popster construction for added reactivity and precision, featuring the Royal Cork Rail tech for chatter dampening, the Man’s Board is a mountain destroyer that’s going to give you a hell of a good time if you know how to tame it!

Who is the new Salomon MAN’S BOARD designed for?

Salomon named the board quite right. The Man’s Board is for riders with lots of muscles in their legs! The board requires an advanced level minimum to be tamed but if you’re an expert rider it’s even better. It is a powerful and demanding snowboard that delivers the best performance you could wish for!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
