Description

The Salomon Pulse may be an entry-level model, but you can still do a lot of things with it. It allows you to ride all over the resort, offering as many capabilities on the slopes and the edges of the slopes as in the snowpark.

What is the Salomon Pulse snowboard program?

What is the goal of the Salomon Pulse? Making your rides easier all over the ski area! With its flat camber and soft flex, it rides really easily, requiring little effort in the thighs and offering a reassuring board/snow contact. The grip is secure and the risk of edge faults is reduced. This provides the confidence needed to take turns, especially with the slightly set back position of the feet, which makes it easier to place the board in a curve. And moreover, the board can be easily thrown in fresh snow, which allows you to go and have fun making big skids on the edges of the slope when you feel comfortable! A very playful board when it comes to freestyle in the snowpark!

Who is the Salomon Pulse snowboard for?

Accessible even if you're riding a snowboard for the first time, this model will also be suitable for a snowboarder with an already developed technical base looking to maintain a tolerant board for fun and freestyle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
