Description

The Sanchez returns for 2015 but incorporates a few upgrades since the previous version. The board still features an aspen core bringing lightweight and flexibility to your riding, and still comes with the same Flat Out rocker enhancing forgiveness and all-terrain agility. However, Salomon went for something new, the Rocket Science technology. They made the waist 1cm wider which reinforces the stability and they shortened the length of the board by 5cm which makes the board incredibly playful. Perfect for spending days and nights in a snowpark!

 

What our testers say : The Sanchez is a real fun board! The soft flex and the short length makes it very playful and any rider can have fun with it immediately. From hard snowparks to backcountry sessions, the board deals with any snow conditions with ease and turns any difficulty into a game. A good board for jibbing too. The soft flex allows easy press and enhances the forgiving feel of the board. Recommended to beginner riders, or freestylers in general.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
