Description

The Sickstick returns in Salomon’s line of boards and don’t be fooled by its sober exterior, the board delivers tons of performance and turns out to be one of the best freeride all-mountain boards we tested this winter.

What can the Salomon SICKSTICK snowboard do?

The Sickstick is a sick board and it goes without saying! A love at first ride, the definition of all-mountain performance combined with a freeride DNA. It surfes powder like no other board and plows through difficult terrains without shaking. Its dual rocker construction gives the board tons of breaking power along with floatation and its Rock Out profile makes it super stable at high speeds. The All Mountain edges deliver top-notch edge control and you’ll feel the board rail through the turns with a scientific precision. The Popster technology maximises pop and reactivity to give the board a lively character to spice up your ride!

Who is the Salomon SICKSTICK snowboard designed for?

It is a board suited for advanced and expert riders who look for high performance on powder without sacrificing performance and fun on other terrains. The board is an absolute blast, it excles anywhere and feels truly powerful, make sure your legs and skills are ready for it!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
