Description

Note: The color of the soles may be different from the image presented on the site, as the brand randomly produces different color combinations.

The Salomon The Villain is the pro-model of the snowboarder Louif Paradis, a freestyle enthusiast whether in street, park or backcountry. That's why he got himself a dynamic and versatile freestyle board, with which he can vary the pleasures and terrains.

What is the Salomon The Villain snowboard program?

Not surprisingly, this twin-tip offers maximum freestyle skills, the board is well balanced, you can switch without problems and the flex is well dosed. You can send on rails as well as on kickers, place jib tricks without difficulty and so on. It's the best way to let your creativity speak for itself and please yourself. The poplar shell reinforced with fiberglass and carbon offers a powerful pop, but the board maintains flex at the spatulas and is not particularly physically demanding to ride. It offers great capabilities on hard snow, with grip and bounce in turns, while the spatula rocker zones provide lift without much difficulty when riding in light powder.

Who is the Salomon The Villain snowboard for?

This model is accessible from the intermediate level and is primarily intended for freestyle riders looking to progress in the park and in the resort, but it is also suitable for versatile snowboarders looking for a well-balanced board at the performance level.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
