Description

Two years ago we were selling it with a reverse camber. You can now ride the Nug with Burton's notorious Flying V camber for a whole new experience. What they really wanted to do here was to give the board a little more grip and more stability at high speed without sacrificing the playfulness it had. We're still on a twin-tipped shape allowing freestyle moves and switch riding, with inside a Super Fly core reinforced with triax fiberglass for added pop. In other words, it's a nice upgrade for the Nug, still as playful but with more personality. It'll fuel your creativity that makes no doubt.

 

What our testers say : This is a board that you can ride in a shorter length than your usual boards (4 sizes available: 142, 146,150 and 154) thanks to Burton's raduction technology. That turns the board into a more playful toy suited for landing tricks one after the other. We recommend it to beginners or intermediates looking for something very easy and forgiving, but it could also work for advanced riders looking for a flexible and playful board that bends and presses as they wish!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
