Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

While most splitboards are freeride-type directional snowboards, the Jones Mountain Twin offers a more freestyle/all-mountain type program that offers every imaginable possibility for off-piste freestyle. It remains a high performance splitboard, with a robust, high quality and eco-friendly construction.

What is the program of the Jones Mountain Twin Split snowboard?

The Mountain Twin Split has a twin directional shape, symmetrical in shape and flex for total ease of switch and maximum trick placement. The setback foot position provides the manoeuvrability and powder efficiency needed to ride in a variety of snow conditions, including deep powder. On hard snow sections, the classic camber and the Traction Tech 3.0 corrugated edges provide good edge grip in turns but also during ascents. Finally, the FSC Control Split Core offers a good power-to-weight ratio for pop, responsiveness and stability while maintaining optimal weight. Here is a splitboard that is efficient on ascents and descents, with serious freestyle skills as a bonus!

Who is the Jones Mountain Twin Split snowboard for?

This model is perfect for an experienced snowboarder who likes to freestyle off-piste and is therefore looking for a splitboard that allows him to discover new spots away from the resort with a maximum of options to place tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
