Description

Here is the splitboard version of the freeride snowboard Lib Tech BRD. Equipped with a construction specifically designed for splitboarding, with a wood core composed of 95% paulownia chosen for its excellent weight/power ratio, this splitboard enables weightlessness during ascent and performance on the descent.

What is the program of the Lib Tech Split BRD snowboard?

The Split BRD has a very directional shape, with a very voluminous nose and a tight tail, accompanied by a very backward foot position. All of this provides an automatic lift in the powder and maximum control and manoeuvrability on all terrain. This shape is accompanied by a classic camber and Magne-Traction edges, which guarantees excellent edge grip on hard snow and bounce in turns. Finally, the power delivered by the special splitboard construction provides the necessary stability during high-speed descents. So, you have the perfect board for steep slopes, powder fields etc.

Who is the Lib Tech Split BRD snowboard for?

This model is designed for experienced or expert snowboarders who are used to riding off-piste, enjoying descents and are familiar with the mountains. This splitboard will allow them to discover new freeride spots and to take full advantage of the conditions.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
