Description

The Highlife will get you hyped. Whether you're refering to the board itself and the way it looks or to the performance it delivers, we're coming close to perfection. If the woodcore ensures optimal behaviour and flexibility, the carbon reinforcements placed on it make the board stiffer and more powerful for effective crud busting and nicer carved turns. The rockered tips allow an effortless floatation through the deep and easier manoeuverability. It also features Pop Walls sidewalls. They use the reactivity of carbon to enhance energy transfers and guarantee a responsive riding wherever you find yourself on the mountain.

What our testers say : The Highlife is a demanding freeride board. It's not the kind of board that's easy and soft and effortless. From the first run on you feel how stiff it is and how powerful it can be. On the hardpack the board cuts across the slope harder than a samourai sword. With a little pressure on your toes or on your heels the edges come bite the snow and keep you locked in until you break the carve. On other terrains, the board feels stable and supportive. It floats naturally and slashing turns is extremely satisfying. This is a board for riders who have legs and need a weapon more than a toy.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
