This splitboard version of the Rossignol XV has been developed for Xavier de Le Rue, simply one of the best freeride snowboarders there is and who switched to splitboard several years ago. Experienced snowboarders who love the great outdoors will be happy!

What is the program of the Rossignol XV Split snowboard?

The XV Split offers everything you need to ride aggressively on any terrain and what you need to complete your ascensions effortlessly as well. In order to achieve such a level of performance in the descents this cannot be the lightest splitboard on the market, but no need to be worried either. When the time comes to riding down, you will enjoy impeccable precision and stability on any snow type. The directional shape, camber + rocker profile, serrated edges and high-end base make the XV Split excel in powder fields, steep chutes and mixed snow backcountry runs! Everything to get your adrenaline rush and enjoy some fresh air.

Who is the Rossignol XV Split snowboard for?

We recommend this model to expert level snowboarders looking for a high-performance splitboard for aggressive freeriding. The perfect profile to ride the XV Split: a skilled snowboarder with solid legs and good knowledge of the backcountry and mountain safety!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
