Armada Invictus 2017

Alpine Ski Armada Invictus 108 Ti

Ski sold without binding.

Twin-tipped with 106mm at the waist, the Invictus is a powder rocket. It is Armada's freeride offering to every off-piste amateurs. It is a ski that has no fear, no flaw, no weakness. It is a powerful stick featuring a responsive wood core and carbon and kevlar inserts by the tail to keep things stiffer and get more drive and more kick out of turns. You get a more stable feel when you backsit while the two huge rockers in the tips keep you floating above powder surface as if you were flying, literally.

What can the Armada Invictus 108 Ti ski do?

This is a ski for sporty skiers with ambitions, for hard charging riders looking to annihilate the mountain. The Invictus 108 ensures solid performance on groomed snow despite its huge sidecuts, the edges grip well and the ski definitely holds its own even if slalom-like / short-turn carving is not its cup of tea. As a reminder, it's got a 23 meter turning radius...if you want it to turn short, better train your legs until they're harder than a rock. But let's make things clear, the Invictus wasn't designed for riding on groomers. It is a powderhound, and the deeper the better. The ski feels incredibly agile and floaty, it is a fantastic freerider and a good friend for backcountry freestylers.

Who is the Armada Invictus 108 Ti ski designed for?

It is a mindblowing ski at the condition you know how to use it. It is powerful and demanding, suited for advanced or expert skiers looking for a wide / powder-oriented performer.

Structure - Construction

  • Carbon Kevlar  :

A blend of Carbon/Kevlar stringers that run along the tail of the skis to help stabilize it. This creates a better landing platform, especially when your weight is further back than intended. It also increases snap and adds pop to ollies .

  • AR50 Sidewalls  :

ABS sidewall meets cap construction – the best of both worlds. This engineering method combines the lightweight cap construction in the tip and tail with ABS sidewall underfoot, resulting in enhanced edgehold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.

  • Power-Lite Core  :

Stability, power and control are paramount in this 100% woodcore enhanced with hardwood stringers. For those looking for the ultimate in smoothness comes the Power-lite core.

  • Titanal  :

An aluminum laminate layer stiffens the side camber deflection of the ski, which allows for tighter turns and increased dampening. Used exclusively in the new Triumph, it creates a ski with exceptional hold-especially on ice.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • AR Nose Rocker  :

Traditional sidecut profile with tip rocker for all mountain everyday ripping.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Various

  • 2.2mm Edges  :

Heat treated, built to avoid excess weight while maintaining durability.

  • Comp Series Base  :

A World Cup-inspired base that requires higher maintenance than the S7, the Comp Series pays for the extra TLC it requires in one way: Speed.
